A strange thing happened today in front of the Caffe Mediterraneum, — The Med. While chatting idly with some of my buddies about the world going to hell, the coeds not wearing enough clothing, what is the better color for their tattoos, and other similar weighty topics or perhaps whether it was the global warming that was causing it to be too warm in the sun, and too cool in the shade … — a horse appeared with a brown rider. Not a Pale rider as in the Apocalypse, so not to worry, unless the rules have changed. But then, of course they are always changing here in Berkeley so maybe we should worry. Here is what happened.
The Brown skinned man rides a cow down Telegraph Avenue.
There have been many strange things to view just sitting here, and you can see a lot just by looking. This will be a topic of conversation for years to come, and no one, other than those of us who were eye witnesses, would ever believe such a weird thing could happen on stodgy old Telegraph Avenue here in the heart of ultra conservative Berkeley unless they saw it themselves. But now with the magic of YouTube and WordPress anyone can see that we have not overindulged on the lotus blossoms of coffee. Other “Cows in Berkeley“.
