Dystopia is a society wallowing in confusing chaos while Utopia across the puddle is lounging in tranquil order. Is this a Hegelian contradiction that can and should be synthesized and resolved into a Eudystopia? That would be the society flourishing in the middle of a maximum of crossflowing of facts, information, ideas, wisdom, and actions in a way that maximizes opportunities and supports success and further opportunities for cross-fertilizing people with a vision to help the world to be its best.

That seems to be defining the San Francisco Bay Area since 1849. First famous for the Gold Rush years, but even more famous now and more productive than just in gold. Now it is famous for its modern Silicon Valley years and creating so many aspects of the modern technological society.

The SF Bay Area and Berkeley was and is a wonderful place to spend one’s life.
