I always support the president in office. That means that until our next president takes the oath of office, which means to defend the Constitution, I will support Obama. It also means that come January 20th I will be supporting Obama in the morning and Trump in the evening. That is what our Constitution expects of its citizens, and that is what I will do.

I fully expect President-elect Donald Trump to defend the Constitution and the first amendment to that document is the freedom of speech and of the press.

Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

There are many governments which do not grant those freedoms to their people, and that greatly diminishes the power of those countries because without a free and complete access to the wisdom of all of the citizens of a country the leaders can not deliver the best possible leadership. The most informative people in any conversation are those who disagree with you because if they agree with you they don’t communicate anything new to your understanding. Therefore I would encourage Donald Trump to relish the media and the comics who make fun of him because they will be the King’s Fools who are most likely to be telling him the truth.

Love and honor your critics!
