Mulla Nasrudin is my kind of guy. He thinks, and not only that he thinks in his own way and not only that, what he says is frequently so unique it doesn’t make sense. Often he makes no sense until you think for a bit about what he said, and then he manifests his common sense to an uncommon degree, and that is Coleridge‘s definition of wisdom.

Mulla Nasrudin riding his donkey and hunting for man-eating tigers.

Nasrudin was visiting the Raja’s court in India and was asked to go hunt for the man-eating tiger that had been pillaging a local village. When he got back to the palace the Raja asked Nasrudin how the hunt went.

Perfectly!
How many tigers did you kill?
None.
How many did you chase from the village?
None.
How many did you see?
I didn’t see any.
How then could you say the hunt went perfectly?
When seeking man-eating tigers not seeing one is the perfect hunt.
